Biography

Jim is a leader in the global payments industry with over 30 years of experience across the entire debit-to-credit spectrum having held senior positions in sales, risk authentication, and digital innovation. He is widely regarded as one of the go-to experts for banks, fintechs, and corporates exploring new card programmes and expanding internationally, and he is regularly consulted by analysts for his views on the future of global payments.

A disrupter and innovator at heart, Jim was at Visa for 18 years and as EVP of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships, he was responsible for developing and driving Visa’s product and technology roadmap, as well as business development for strategic partnerships. Some of the many game-changing payment solutions Jim has been involved with include the delivery of industry standards like 3D Secure and Visa Token Service, and the launch of Apple Pay®.

Before being named as Thredd CEO, he joined as Executive Vice President – Global Head of Product and Sales in January 2023 after previously working as President of i2c Inc, a US-based payments processor, that he led to record growth.

Biography

Jeff joined Thredd in July 2022. His responsibilities encompass global financial strategy, planning and management, risk management, audit, corporate development, and investor relations.

Jeff is a seasoned CFO with over 40 years of experience building and leading finance teams in global companies with significant operating scale and complexity. His most recent role was at Fiserv, a Nasdaq-listed financial technology and payments company, where he was CFO for their Digital Solutions business. Prior to Fiserv, Jeff spent 30 years at Automatic Data Processing (ADP), a Nasdaq-listed comprehensive global provider of cloud-based human capital management (HCM) solutions.

Biography

Cecil joined Thredd in 2021 as Group Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for the company's global operations and implementations divisions, powering the next generation of payments worldwide.

Cecil has more than 20 years of financial services experience and specialises in operational and digital transformation, corporate restructuring, and business strategy within the retail banking, fintech, and wealth management sectors. Prior to Thredd, Cecil held senior roles at HSBC, Accenture, and Flagstone.

Sharyn Wilson is the Chief People Officer at Thredd , specialising in driving people strategy, organisational transformation, and high‑growth scaling. 

With over 25 years of global HR leadership experience, Sharyn’s career has been shaped predominantly within private‑equity–backed environments, where she has led complex HR transformations and built high‑performing cultures that enable commercial success. Sharyn has held senior roles across major brands including Worldpay and Zellis, a SaaS leader in payroll and HR solutions. Throughout her career, she has partnered closely with executive teams and investors to modernise people functions, deliver workforce strategies that support rapid growth, and embed talent, culture, and leadership frameworks that sustain long‑term value creation.

Marilyn McDonald is a technology executive with 20+ years of experience building high-performing, inclusive teams and delivering digital solutions that drive business growth – with leadership roles spanning Amazon, Mastercard, Moderna, StubHub, and now as Chief Technology Officer at Thredd.

Known for her ability to transform underperforming teams into industry-leading organisations, she brings a people-first approach to aligning technology strategy with business goals, creating exceptional customer experiences across B2B and B2C ecosystems worldwide.

Kevin Fox is a seasoned international payments executive and the Chief Revenue Officer at Thredd, where he orchestrates the global commercial strategy to modernize the world’s payments infrastructure. With a career spanning over 25 years, Kevin has a proven track record of architecting high-performing sales organizations and driving complex go-to-market strategies that bridge the gap between cutting-edge financial technology and global scale.

As a key architect of Thredd’s international expansion, Kevin directs the Global Commercial Leadership and Partnership teams across the UK, Europe, APAC, and the Americas. He is recognized for a "roll-up-the-sleeves" leadership style, building elite teams capable of navigating intricate regulatory landscapes to deliver seamless, cross-border issuing solutions. Under his stewardship, Thredd has forged transformative global partnerships, empowering banks and fintechs to scale at pace without geographic constraints.

Prior to joining Thredd, Kevin held executive leadership roles at i2c Inc. and NovoPayment, where he was instrumental in scaling Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS) and multi-currency processing solutions. His strategic vision is rooted in a deep understanding of how modern infrastructure lowers barriers to entry—a mission he frequently champions as a thought leader and panelist at premier industry events.

Kevin holds a degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Florida State University and remains actively engaged in the continuous evolution of the global payments ecosystem.

Ryan is a fintech and payments executive with extensive experience building and scaling card issuing and embedded finance programs. He currently serves as Chief Product Officer at Thredd, where he works with fintechs, banks, and program managers to launch and grow compliant payment programs globally.

Prior to Thredd, Ryan spent several years at i2c Inc., where he helped expand the company’s global issuing and payments platform and supported fintechs and financial institutions in launching innovative card and digital payment solutions. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at GiftCards.com, helping scale one of the largest digital gift card marketplaces and developing prepaid and stored-value payment products.

Across his career, Ryan has worked at the intersection of fintech innovation and payments infrastructure, helping companies navigate the operational, regulatory, and technology challenges of modern financial services.

As Thredd’s SVP of Legal, Risk and Compliance, Joseph Askham leads the company’s legal, governance, and regulatory strategy, guiding its growth as a trusted global payments partner. A solicitor with over a decade of experience, Joseph specialises in building high‑performing legal and compliance teams that enable innovation while maintaining robust control and integrity across complex, fast‑moving fintech environments.

Before joining Thredd, Joseph was a lawyer at Travelex, where he advised on strategic initiatives across payments, financial services regulation, and corporate transactions across a number of jurisdictions, particularly in the MENA region. He began his career in private practice, specialising in corporate and commercial law.
